So Many Products to Choose From
With all of the hundreds, even thousands of skincare products on the market it’s difficult to choose which one is best for your skin type. And then you add clean or organic, SPF15 or 50, fragrance or non, not to mention the costs involved. No wonder many of us are confused about what to purchase!
In this post, I will share some of my favorites and some of the most popular clean and organic products on the market. Also, learn the difference between products that are clean vs. organic.
Clean Skin Care Products
Definition: When beauty brands use the word “clean” it signals that products don’t contain certain ingredients (natural or synthetic) that may be considered unsafe, like parabens and talc. Usually, clean products use nutritious plant-based ingredients and safe synthetics as necessary for preservation or performance.
But unfortunately, currently, “clean” beauty products aren’t regulated in the US which means a brand can call anything it wants clean. Even given this statement I do use clean products but always purchase from a brand I trust.
Some of my favorites:
- Biossance Squalane + Elderberry Jelly Cleanser/Powerful Hydrating Cleanser
- Honest Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30
- True Botanicals Organic Moisture Lock Overnight Mask

Organic Skin Care Products
Definition: Organic refers to product ingredients grown without pesticides, chemicals, or artificial fertilizers. An organic product must have between 95-100% chemical-free ingredients and are deemed to be more beneficial to the skin.
The use of the word organic is highly regulated by the FDA.
Some of my favorites:
- Jose Maran Daily Argan Moisturizer w/SPF 47/Lightweight/Quick Absorbing
- Indie Lee Toner CoQ-10 Toner
- Ursa Major Natural Vitamin C Face Serum/Brightening/Hydrating
