Well it may be the second day of spring but it certainly does not feel like it in our area. We have had weeks of off and on rain and dark clouds and other than one sunny week in Mexico I miss my daily dose of California sunshine.

And quite honestly even when the sun is out I wear sunscreen and a hat, an unlikely combination to get any kind of a tan. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like some color to hide my flaws like redness in my cheeks, blemishes are those dreaded varicose veins.

Hence my post on suggested self tanning products, a girl has to help mother nature!

TAN-LUXE- The Face  Illuminating self tanning drops. Raspberry Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera; your skin feels hydrated & nourished and never dried out. A few drops is all you need.

Australian Gold Tinted BB Face Creme   SPF 50, 3 oz., water resistant, hypoallergenic with a subtle tint. I love Australian Gold products, affordable, and Hawaiian reef compliant. This BB creme does not really cover blemishes but it does protect you from the sun.

Purlisse SPF 30 BB Creme     Chemical free protection with a tint color for smooth, radiant, even skin, whatever your skin type.

Laura Geller New York Hydrating Foundation  Natural Glow Finish – Lightweight Formula with Hyaluronic Acid. A lightweight foundation perfect for dry skin, locks in moisture with just a hint of tint.

Jergens Natural Glow Body Lotion    I have been using this product for years on my legs and arms for a natural tan look and it works! Not so sure about the firming and cellulite reducing capabilities but that is not what I am buying this for. But for tanning and at this price ($10.47) its one of my favorite products.

Sun Protection

The Organic Pharmacy SPF 30    Non-toxic  minerals and herbal ingredients, this sunscreen blocks UV absorption and helps keep your skin hydrated. Reef safe, massages evenly into your skin without a white cast.

Sun Bum SPF 30 Body Spray   Perfect for all over body coverage-oil free, water resistant and reef safe.

I still love warm weather vacations and I love any water sports like paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, power boats. But since I cover up with skin protection I also like a little help for color from a bottle. I hope that you enjoy our product recommendations as much as I do.
