Need a break from the cold weather blues?

Then start planning your January getaway. December can be quite the costly time to travel, but January on the other hand often hands us great pricing and deals on flights and hotels. Especially in the first few weeks of the New Year.

Take your mind off the cold weather and start picturing you on a beach, tropical drink in hand and lazy days spent lounging by crystal clear water. Leave the parkas behind!

Maui, HI

January is one the of the best times to visit Hawaii for whale watching-need I say more?! Maui has always been a favorite of mine as it offers any type of vacation you desire. From decadent spa resorts, to some of the most surfable waves, whale watching tours of course and beautiful drives like the one out to Hana. We drove to Hana but I highly suggest hiring a local driver-its a crazy narrow at times windy ride-but well worth it!

January is one of the wettest months of the year with an average temperature of 79F.

Puta Cana, Dominican Republic

Offering a large selection of All-inclusive resorts from high end to budget friendly. Puta Cana offers lush foliage and  white sand beaches with the average water temperature in January of 81F. A must visit, Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park & Reserve, hiking trails, more than 500 species of plants, reptiles, exotic birds and twelve beautiful lagoons.

Generally dry in January with an average temperature around 80F.

Tulum, Mexico

Tulum is not only home to gorgeous beaches, lush jungles, Mayan ruins, gorgeous lagoons, exotic wildlife but it also offers an upscale nightlife. Combining hiking, history, water activities and shopping and restaurants. You are also likely to spot spider monkeys swinging through the trees, crocodiles, iguanas, and colorful birds.

The average temperature in January is 70F with a high around 83F and rarely dropping below 53F.
