My word for the year in 2024 was YES. All caps go for it and just say yes. As we journey through life, each decade brings its own set of challenges, triumphs, and lessons. For women over 50, this stage can be particularly transformative. As this is my last year in my 50’s I want to spend it living boldly and saying yes to new experiences.

I am saying yes to expanding my social circles– By stepping outside my comfort zone and joining new groups whether its pickleball or a networking group for business and yes a dating app. I am meeting so many new and interesting people. Like minded individuals that are introducing me to their friends and expanding my social life in a much bigger way.

Embracing change-  Turning potential uncertainties into opportunities for growth and new beginnings. For this extraverted introvert this can be a little daunting but so far its been well worth it!

Creating lasting memories- By saying yes, I am opening the door to creating beautiful memories—whether it’s a spontaneous road trip, a family gathering, going bowling, walking into a room full of strangers, or simply trying a new restaurant-just do it.

Tips for Embracing “Yes”

  • Start Small: Begin with manageable commitments. Attend a local event or try a new recipe.
  • Be Open-Minded: Approach new opportunities with curiosity rather than judgment.
  • Listen to Your Intuition: While saying yes can be empowering, ensure it aligns with your values and well-being.
  • Celebrate Your Efforts: Acknowledge and celebrate your bravery and the new experiences you embrace.

As always, much success.
